OYSTER Incubator start-up Teams 2026

At the moment, 19 teams are building and validating health and life sciences solutions within the OYSTER Incubator.

NeuraScope

Current methods for diagnosing these conditions are often expensive, inaccurate, and require specialized expertise. They frequently miss the opportunity for early detection of dementia. In contrast, our platforms introduce the first-ever home-based sampling method that is needle-free, precise, cost-effective, and accessible to all age groups. We boast a multidisciplinary team that includes clinicians, scientists, business development professionals, and regulatory experts.

By enabling timely intervention, NeuraScope is shaping the future to enhance patient compliance and improve quality of life.

APPS

APPS (AI Assisted Patient Positioning Solution) is a research project focused on investigating ways to improve X‑ray imaging through innovative technological solutions. Our aim in the research is to identify solutions that ensure the patient is correctly positioned and aligned before the actual X‑ray is taken.  The goal of the project is to find solutions that enhance imaging accuracy, reduce unnecessary retakes, and support radiographers in their work with more efficient methods.

Our project team consists of three hospital physicists, a business development expert, an IT specialist, and a radiographer. Our project is funded by Business Finland’s Research to Business ‑funding.

When concerns arise, the same structured information can support clearer conversations between families and healthcare professionals.Oodi is being shaped through early validation with Finnish clinicians, public health nurses, nursing educators and families. Our lean, care-informed approach starts with a focused problem, learns from real families and professionals, and expands only where the evidence supports it.

The founding team previously developed internationally recognised infant technology. Oodio is currently fundraising to prepare Oodi for its first consumer launch in the UK and to continue piloting and validating the solution with healthcare and public-service partners.

We are looking to connect with parents, healthcare professionals, public-sector partners, researchers and investors interested in helping families navigate the uncertain early weeks of parenthood.

Cuidoo

Cuidoo brings matchmaking into caretaking. We want to create a platform and app where caregivers and people in need find each other easily and in real time by creating and browsing profiles.

Caregiver specifies what kind of help they can offer. Person in need details what they need and when and where. Then they can match accordingly.
Users can chat in real time, announce open jobs plan and secure work schedules, give feedback and have instructions for caregivers visible.

AI assists in creating these profiles so it’s doable for everyone.

This way Cuidoo platform allows caregivers from assitans to nurses and babysitters to offer their services and elderly people, people with disabilities and families with kids to find the help that suitable them best

Clinexus

Are you a clinician in Internal Medicine spending too much time reconstructing patient information across multiple systems before you can focus on care?

Clinexus is designed to reduce that burden. Starting with focused clinical workflows, Clinexus helps assemble relevant patient information, connect events across time, highlight missing or conflicting data, and present a clear, source-linked clinical view with fewer clicks.

As Clinexus expands, specialised case agents will support different Internal Medicine workflows while remaining clinician-directed and reviewable.

Reach out to us to be part of our clinical validation.

Team Lead: Fuzel Shaik

eSine

eSine is transforming EEG analysis with a new method that delivers clear, ready-to-use test results for clinicians. Our first test focuses on comatose post–cardiac arrest patients, providing an automated neurological outcome assessment that supports treatment decisions and helps predict recovery potential. By reducing manual workload and uncertainty, we enable doctors to focus on decisions, not raw signals. With deep biomedical engineering expertise and solutions built around clinicians’ needs, we are building the future standard for EEG.

DOSTI

DOSTI is a research and innovation project focused on building a more connected and personalised way to understand health.

Instead of looking at diseases, symptoms, and risk factors separately, DOSTI brings together different parts of a person’s health and daily life into one evolving model. The aim is to understand how health changes over time, what is driving that change, and which intervention is most likely to help each person.

Team Lead: Gunjan Chandra

Rejocare collaborates with a network of partners to provide a comprehensive range of services, ensuring high-quality remote healthcare solutions across Finland.

Our object is to improve the access to care in remote areas – reaching regions where the distance to hospitals and clinics is significant, and providing residents with high-quality healthcare services. Enhancing response times in urban and suburban areas – offering faster access to medical care for communities located near hospitals and clinics that still experience long waiting times.
