OYS Test­Lab

At OYS Test­Lab, you can test social and health­care devices, soft­ware, and oth­er dig­i­tal solu­tions in prac­tice. We are look­ing to col­lab­o­rate with com­pa­nies whose inno­va­tions sup­port mod­ern health­care prac­tices (Pohde) and make every­day life eas­i­er for peo­ple in North­ern Fin­land.

Our goal is to arrange a test­ing ses­sion with­in 4–6 weeks of ini­tial con­tact. As we oper­ate with­in a live hos­pi­tal envi­ron­ment, all tests are sched­uled to ensure that patient safe­ty is nev­er com­pro­mised – this may occa­sion­al­ly affect the exact time­line.

You will work with real pro­fes­sion­als. Testers include experts from spe­cialised health­care, pri­ma­ry health­care, and social ser­vices. If need­ed, tech­ni­cal spe­cial­ists – such as experts in infor­ma­tion sys­tems, device main­te­nance, or logis­tics – can also be involved.

Yes! We also rent out our facil­i­ties for pho­to­shoots and prod­uct demon­stra­tions. We have par­tic­i­pat­ed in sev­er­al adver­tis­ing projects con­duct­ed in hos­pi­tal envi­ron­ments.

We make get­ting start­ed easy: we pro­vide you with a ready-made frame­work for the test­ing plan. Your task is to tai­lor it to your company’s needs, after which we finalise the plan togeth­er before test­ing begins.

Yes – flex­i­bil­i­ty is one of our key strengths. We can organ­ise, for exam­ple, expert pan­els via remote con­nec­tions. You can also send the device to be test­ed to us, allow­ing our experts to eval­u­ate it on-site in Oulu.

For hos­pi­tal test­ing, we typ­i­cal­ly use sim­u­lat­ed facil­i­ties to avoid dis­rupt­ing clin­i­cal care. If your solu­tion requires a ful­ly authen­tic envi­ron­ment, we can utilise set­tings such as well­be­ing cen­tres or res­i­den­tial care units for the elder­ly.

Inte­grat­ing patient infor­ma­tion sys­tems is a tech­ni­cal­ly com­plex under­tak­ing. For this rea­son, such inte­gra­tions are usu­al­ly imple­ment­ed as part of broad­er devel­op­ment projects rather than sin­gle test­ing ses­sions.
