MemorySenior earns positive customer feedback following successful 6‑month pilot
A MemorySenior application developed by MoMoMe Heat underwent a pilot that led to many positive interactions and shared moments in everyday life.
The exercises stimulated memories, conversation, and experiences of success, and for many residents, the application provided a safe and clear way to participate in activities. From the staff’s perspective, the application was easy to use and offered clear, ready-made content without the need for separate preparation, making it easier to use even in a busy daily routine. The application also worked naturally as a conversation starter and as a stimulus in group situations.
MemorySenior was also a significant support in assessment work. The application’s exercises provided concrete observation situations for examining memory functions, concentration, and everyday functional ability. Observations from the pilot period’s RAI assessments showed that cognitive domains remained stable, which is itself a positive outcome for many clients. In addition, clear positive development was seen in areas of daily functioning and mood. The use of the application supported clients’ activity, provided experiences of success, and increased interaction, which was reflected positively in everyday life. The visually clear and easily approachable tasks were also well-suited for individuals with cognitive challenges when the exercises were selected individually. Many clients appreciated that the tasks were short, clear, and easy to understand.
Overall, MemorySenior proved to be an effective tool that supports even a busy daily routine and serves both clients and staff. Based on the pilot period, the conclusion was that MemorySenior is particularly suitable for communal living environments and home-based services.
