MedicubeX has signed a 4 mil­lion euro con­tract with Istek­ki Oy

Medicubex Oy has won the pub­lic ten­der orga­nized by Istek­ki Oy for the pro­cure­ment of self-mea­sure­ment sta­tions. The esti­mat­ed val­ue of the pro­cure­ment is 4 mil­lion euros. With this agree­ment, MedicubeX® eHealth Sta­tions™ will be avail­able to Istekki’s cus­tomer-own­ers.

Istek­ki is a Finnish expert orga­ni­za­tion that sup­ports soci­ety in dig­i­tal envi­ron­ments, espe­cial­ly in health­care, well­be­ing, and ICT solu­tions. Its clients include pub­lic sec­tor actors such as munic­i­pal­i­ties, well­be­ing ser­vices coun­ties, and oth­er soci­etal enti­ties. Istek­ki oper­ates nation­wide in Fin­land, and its activ­i­ties impact the lives of over 4 mil­lion peo­ple. Some of Istek­ki Oy’s cus­tomer-own­ers have a need for mea­sure­ment sta­tions that allow the end-user to per­form their own health mea­sure­ments at a self-mea­sure­ment sta­tion. The mea­sure­ment sta­tions can be placed in pub­lic spaces. The sta­tion helps to sup­port and speed up health­care process­es and pro­motes the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion of car­dio­vas­cu­lar dis­ease risks at the ear­li­est pos­si­ble stage. The self-mea­sure­ment sta­tions are pri­mar­i­ly suit­able for health­care sec­tor clients, and their main cus­tomer group is the well­be­ing ser­vices coun­ties.

The MedicubeX® eHealth Sta­tion™ is the world’s first ful­ly autonomous self-mea­sure­ment and remote con­sul­ta­tion sta­tion for key health indi­ca­tors. In addi­tion to all basic vital signs, the eHealth Sta­tion™ offers an elec­tro­car­dio­gram (ECG), a body fat per­cent­age mea­sure­ment, and an AGE val­ue that indi­cates the risk for car­dio­vas­cu­lar dis­eases and type 2 dia­betes. A com­plete­ly pri­vate user expe­ri­ence is guar­an­teed dur­ing use thanks to the visu­al cov­er and sound insu­la­tion includ­ed in its design.

The object of the pro­cure­ment includes self-mea­sure­ment sta­tions, relat­ed inte­gra­tions, deliv­ery projects, main­te­nance and sup­port ser­vices, and sep­a­rate­ly ordered tech­ni­cal expert ser­vices. Fur­ther devel­op­ment of the pro­cured solu­tion can be pur­chased dur­ing the con­tract peri­od. The pro­cure­ment was car­ried out in accor­dance with the Act on Pub­lic Pro­cure­ment and Con­ces­sion Con­tracts (1397/2016, “the Pro­cure­ment Act”) as a pro­cure­ment exceed­ing the EU thresh­old val­ue (§ 26).

The esti­mat­ed val­ue of the pro­cure­ment is 4,000,000 euros, VAT 0%. The esti­mat­ed val­ue of the pro­cure­ment includes options. The con­tract is valid indef­i­nite­ly.
