Mectalent grows with acquisition – expertise and production capacity expands

Mectalent has completed an acquisition and is integrating TeknoComp Oy, a company specialized in CNC machining and precision mechanics, into its operations. The acquisition strengthens Mectalent’s expertise in CNC machining and precision mechanics and increases the company’s overall production capacity.

TeknoComp Oy is a Ruukki-based CNC machining and precision mechanics expert with an extensive machine base. Now that TeknoComp is merging with Mectalent, the combined production capacity will increase to better meet customer needs.

“The acquisition is a strategic step that strengthens Mectalent’s position as an advanced design and manufacturing partner, while expanding our capacity as TeknoComp’s skilled personnel and extensive production capabilities become part of our company,” says Tapio Harila, CEO of Mectalent.

With the acquisition, Mectalent will become a group company: TeknoComp will form an independent subsidiary. The acquisition will not result in any personnel changes, but TeknoComp employees will transfer to the Mectalent Group as existing employees. Mectalent CEO Tapio Harila will also serve as CEO of the subsidiary TeknoComp.

The acquisition also brings added value to TeknoComp’s customers:
“The acquisition enables TeknoComp’s continued development on an even stronger foundation. The integration gives TeknoComp’s customers access to Mectalent’s expertise, product development services, and broader project execution capabilities,” says Hannu Voltti, former CEO and owner of TeknoComp.
