GeroNurs­ing Cen­tre Joins Nord University’s Opti­CareAI Project Trans­form­ing Home Health­care with AI

The GeroNurs­ing Cen­tre to announce its part­ner­ship in a four-year Opti­CareAI project led by Nord Uni­ver­si­ty in Nor­way.

The project aims to devel­op evi­dence-based solu­tions to help home-based health­care ser­vices respond effec­tive­ly to health­care per­son­nel short­ages. Opti­CareAI will devel­op the opti­mal use of home care personnel’s com­pe­tence and work time with the help of arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence. GeroNurs­ing Cen­tre is involved in the project’s work pack­ages, which syn­the­sise evi­dence on the top­ic and con­duct com­par­a­tive research between Fin­land and Nor­way. Hei­di and Sinikka from the GNC par­tic­i­pat­ed in the project’s kick-off event held in Trom­sø, Nor­way, at the end of August. In addi­tion to project actors from Nord Uni­ver­si­ty, who man­age and coor­di­nate the project, part­ners from the munic­i­pal­i­ties of Vestvågøy, Alta, and Alsta­haug, and the com­pa­ny Syn­Plan were present. Sinikka gave a pre­sen­ta­tion on Finnish social and health­care in Nor­we­gian.
