The Finnish Health Data Ecosys­tem: Future Per­spec­tives & Appli­ca­tions for Glob­al R&D, hybrid

This inter­ac­tive event will allow you to explore the future of the Finnish health data ecosys­tem, cur­rent oppor­tu­ni­ties in research col­lab­o­ra­tion and the poten­tial to accel­er­ate R&D between the pub­lic and pri­vate sec­tors.

Organ­ised in col­lab­o­ra­tion between FinnGen, Sitra, FINBB, and the Min­istry of Social Affairs and Health, it will bring togeth­er key actors in the Finnish health data ecosys­tem and rep­re­sen­ta­tives from phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal and biotech com­pa­nies to dis­cuss how Finland’s health data infra­struc­ture can best serve the evolv­ing research, inno­va­tion and prod­uct devel­op­ment needs.

At the event, Sitra will present a pre­lim­i­nary vision for the future of Finnish health data use and access, with a par­tic­u­lar focus on pub­lic-pri­vate part­ner­ships. Atten­dees will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to pro­vide feed­back and con­tribute to shap­ing this vision.

The event will also bring forth inter­est­ing real-life bio­med­ical research cas­es from ear­ly dis­cov­ery and R&D to RWE, elu­ci­dat­ing how Finnish biobanks and Fin­ge­nious Ecosys­tem part­ners co-cre­ate val­ue with phar­ma and biotech in var­i­ous ther­a­peu­tic areas and research set­tings.
