Team Fin­land vis­it to Indone­sia and Viet­nam

The Team Fin­land net­work is orga­niz­ing a vis­it to Jakar­ta, Indone­sia and Hanoi, Viet­nam led by Mr. Ville Tavio, Min­is­ter for For­eign Trade and Devel­op­ment.

Indone­sia and Viet­nam are among South­east Asi­a’s fastest-grow­ing economies, offer­ing sig­nif­i­cant busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties for Finnish com­pa­nies. Both coun­tries are invest­ing heav­i­ly in dig­i­tal­iza­tion, smart infra­struc­ture, health­care, and sus­tain­able devel­op­ment while seek­ing advanced inter­na­tion­al tech­nolo­gies and part­ners. The vis­it pro­vides a unique oppor­tu­ni­ty to engage with high-lev­el deci­sion-mak­ers, explore major invest­ment projects, and strength­en busi­ness part­ner­ships in two dynam­ic growth mar­kets. 

Com­pa­nies may choose to par­tic­i­pate in the busi­ness del­e­ga­tion pro­gramme in either one of the coun­tries or in both. 

Indone­sia

Indone­sia is a G20 econ­o­my with a pop­u­la­tion of 280 mil­lion and expect­ed annu­al eco­nom­ic growth of around 5%. Major pub­lic invest­ments, strong domes­tic demand, the forth­com­ing EU–Indonesia CEPA agree­ment, and the coun­try’s OECD acces­sion process are fur­ther improv­ing the busi­ness envi­ron­ment. 

Pri­or­i­ty oppor­tu­ni­ties include: 

  • Dig­i­tal infra­struc­ture (con­nec­tiv­i­ty, data cen­tres, e‑government, cyber­se­cu­ri­ty, smart grids and ener­gy) 
  • Dig­i­tal health and smart hos­pi­tals 
  • Solu­tions for health­care infra­struc­ture 

Indone­sia is invest­ing exten­sive­ly in dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion and plans to ren­o­vate or build up to 400 hos­pi­tals. The Indone­sian Hos­pi­tal Asso­ci­a­tion’s Hos­pi­tal Expo takes place on 7–10 Octo­ber, right before the del­e­ga­tion vis­it, if inter­est­ed kind­ly con­tact Embassy of Fin­land, Jakar­ta. 

Viet­nam

Viet­nam is one of South­east Asi­a’s fastest-grow­ing economies, tar­get­ing annu­al GDP growth of 10% through invest­ments in dig­i­tal­iza­tion, health­care, logis­tics, skills devel­op­ment, and sus­tain­able growth. 

Cur­rent oppor­tu­ni­ties include: 

  • Data cen­tres and con­nec­tiv­i­ty 
  • Dig­i­tal­iza­tion and com­put­ing pow­er 
  • Health tech­nolo­gies, smart hos­pi­tals and med­ical devices 
  • Cir­cu­lar econ­o­my solu­tions 

Viet­nam is rapid­ly expand­ing its health­care sec­tor while invest­ing in advanced med­ical tech­nolo­gies and dig­i­tal health­care. The coun­try is also accel­er­at­ing its tran­si­tion towards a cir­cu­lar econ­o­my to achieve its net-zero tar­get by 2050.

To cov­er the expens­es relat­ed to orga­niz­ing the vis­it, the Min­istry for For­eign Affairs will invoice the fol­low­ing par­tic­i­pa­tion fees: 

  • Jakar­ta, Indone­sia: 1300 EUR + a man­age­ment fee of 20 EUR per per­son. 
  • Hanoi, Viet­nam: 1100 EUR + a man­age­ment fee of 20 EUR per per­son.
