Team Finland visit to Indonesia and Vietnam
The Team Finland network is organizing a visit to Jakarta, Indonesia and Hanoi, Vietnam led by Mr. Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development.

Indonesia and Vietnam are among Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economies, offering significant business opportunities for Finnish companies. Both countries are investing heavily in digitalization, smart infrastructure, healthcare, and sustainable development while seeking advanced international technologies and partners. The visit provides a unique opportunity to engage with high-level decision-makers, explore major investment projects, and strengthen business partnerships in two dynamic growth markets.
Companies may choose to participate in the business delegation programme in either one of the countries or in both.
Indonesia
Indonesia is a G20 economy with a population of 280 million and expected annual economic growth of around 5%. Major public investments, strong domestic demand, the forthcoming EU–Indonesia CEPA agreement, and the country’s OECD accession process are further improving the business environment.
Priority opportunities include:
- Digital infrastructure (connectivity, data centres, e‑government, cybersecurity, smart grids and energy)
- Digital health and smart hospitals
- Solutions for healthcare infrastructure
Indonesia is investing extensively in digital transformation and plans to renovate or build up to 400 hospitals. The Indonesian Hospital Association’s Hospital Expo takes place on 7–10 October, right before the delegation visit, if interested kindly contact Embassy of Finland, Jakarta.
Vietnam
Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economies, targeting annual GDP growth of 10% through investments in digitalization, healthcare, logistics, skills development, and sustainable growth.
Current opportunities include:
- Data centres and connectivity
- Digitalization and computing power
- Health technologies, smart hospitals and medical devices
- Circular economy solutions
Vietnam is rapidly expanding its healthcare sector while investing in advanced medical technologies and digital healthcare. The country is also accelerating its transition towards a circular economy to achieve its net-zero target by 2050.

To cover the expenses related to organizing the visit, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will invoice the following participation fees:
- Jakarta, Indonesia: 1300 EUR + a management fee of 20 EUR per person.
- Hanoi, Vietnam: 1100 EUR + a management fee of 20 EUR per person.
