Slush is the world’s lead­ing start­up event, which takes place in Helsin­ki every year, bring­ing togeth­er top star­tups and world-class investors. How­ev­er, you don’t need to wait that long to get your first taste of Slush. Join the Slush Oulu Com­mu­ni­ty Side Event and expe­ri­ence the elec­tric atmos­phere of a glob­al start­up show­case.

Watch 10 bold start­up teams pitch their ideas live on stage, com­pet­ing for €1000, €500, and €300 in prize mon­ey. You don’t need to be a pro­fes­sion­al to pitch; par­tic­i­pants will be offered coach­ing.

Who can join

Whether you are a growth entre­pre­neur, a stu­dent, or a work­ing life expert (or any com­bi­na­tion of these) and inter­est­ed in net­work­ing with cur­rent and future start-up experts, this cel­e­bra­tion of glob­al entre­pre­neur­ship is the event for you.

PITCH­ING COM­PE­TI­TION

Show Oulu the new start­up or project that you’ve been build­ing. Every sin­gle start­up select­ed for the com­pe­ti­tion will receive the sup­port and admi­ra­tion of Oulu’s start­up com­mu­ni­ty. The top three will get cash prizes.

Every­one join­ing the pitch­ing com­pe­ti­tion will be offered work­shops on learn­ing how to pitch. To par­tic­i­pate in the com­pe­ti­tion, you must attend both work­shops. We will select 10 teams to pitch to a great jury of indus­try pro­fes­sion­als and the audi­ence. Pitch­es will be 3 min­utes with 2 min­utes for Q&A. Slides are allowed and encour­aged.
