MunKa­mu Gold­en Root Fest, Oulu

Gold­en Root Fest is a free mul­ti­cul­tur­al com­mu­ni­ty event that brings togeth­er peo­ple of all ages through sto­ry­telling, cul­tur­al expe­ri­ences, music, food, and mean­ing­ful social con­nec­tions. The event aims to pro­mote inclu­sion, well­be­ing, com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment, and inter­cul­tur­al under­stand­ing while address­ing lone­li­ness among old­er adults.

The event is orga­nized by MunKa­mu Oy in part­ner­ship with Oulu2026, Vuolle, the Finnish Red Cross, and with sup­port from the Euro­pean Union.

MunKa­mu, a local social enter­prise found­ed in Oulu, is com­mit­ted to improv­ing the well­be­ing of old­er adults through com­pan­ion­ship, cul­tur­al engage­ment, and com­mu­ni­ty con­nec­tion.
