Oodio

Oodi: Making sense of baby crying.

At Oodio, we believe parents deserve practical support when their baby's crying becomes difficult to interpret. Infant crying is normal, but exhaustion, uncertainty and fragmented memories can make it hard for families to understand what is happening and know what information may be useful to share with a healthcare professional.

Oodio is an Oulu-based health-tech company developing privacy-first technology to help families make sense of infant crying patterns. Our aim is to turn difficult-to-remember days and nights into a clearer picture, helping parents move beyond tired memory and guesswork and supporting clearer conversations about early care.

Our approach starts with a focused problem, learns from real families and healthcare professionals, and expands only where the evidence supports it.

Oodio is developing Oodi, a privacy-first app that helps parents track their baby's crying and visualise patterns over time.

By making crying patterns and changes easier to see, Oodi gives families a clearer picture of what has been happening. Optional parental check-ins can add context about how the situation is affecting the caregiver, while structured information can support clearer conversations between families and healthcare professionals when concerns arise.

Oodi is being shaped through early validation with Finnish clinicians, public health nurses, nursing educators and families. This work is helping us understand where Oodi can provide the greatest value for families and how it can support existing care rather than add complexity to it.

The founding team previously developed internationally recognised infant technology. Oodio's short-term goals are to prepare Oodi for its first consumer launch in the UK, continue validation and pilot work with healthcare and public-service partners, and raise funding to support product development and international growth.
