Cerenion strengthens brain monitoring innovation with new US patent

Cerenion has been granted a US patent for innovative signal processing technology designed to support reliable EEG analysis in challenging clinical conditions. The patent strengthens the company’s intellectual property portfolio and supports its plans for entering the US market.

Continuous EEG monitoring in acute healthcare comes with real-world challenges. Interruptions in recordings can affect the quality of data used for analysis. Cerenion’s patented method addresses missing or corrupted EEG data by generating replacement signal segments that preserve relevant characteristics of the original recording, supporting more consistent quantitative EEG analysis.

“Securing this patent is an important milestone for Cerenion and a recognition of the innovative work of our team,” says Dr. Jukka Kortelainen, CEO and co-founder of Cerenion. “Our mission is to make EEG monitoring in acute healthcare easier and more accessible. Protecting our innovations in the US supports this ambition and our long-term plans for the market.”

The patent reflects Cerenion’s commitment to developing practical solutions for the challenges of brain monitoring in acute healthcare, with the ultimate goal of supporting better care for critically ill patients.
