CaReBOOST project advances digital restorative care in services for older adults
Launching in May 2026, the CaReBOOST project aims to enhance the competencies of social and healthcare professionals and students in digital restorative care, while also supporting the adoption of effective digital solutions in housing services for older adults and in assessment and rehabilitation units.
The project focuses on strengthening professional competence, establishing a regional partnership network for digital restorative care in Northern Ostrobothnia, and developing an operational model for the effective use of digital solutions in care practices.
Education providers, elderly care service providers, professionals in the field, and companies developing digital solutions related to rehabilitation are invited to participate in the joint development work. The objective is to increase collaboration, support hands-on experimentation, and promote sustainable changes in practice.
As project outcomes, CaReBOOST will deliver concrete results such as a structured training programme, an operational model, and practical recommendations for implementing digital restorative care. In addition, the project will host open webinars and events during its implementation.
The three-year CaReBOOST project is coordinated by the GeroNursing Centre at the University of Oulu, with Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the Diaconia College of Finland as partner organisations. The project is partially funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
