Vivid discussion about European Commission’s proposal for the Artificial Intelligence Act

The European Commission has proposed new rules and actions for excellence and trust in Artificial Intelligence.

The aim is to turn Europe into a global hub for trustworthy AI, guaranteeing the safety and fundamental rights of people and businesses. This proposal and its effects on the health and social sector were discussed on September 8th in a discussion forum organized by the Hyteairo-programs Analytics network, which is led by the University of Oulu. During the event, representatives of decision makers, national authorities, and research, development, and innovation actors covered topics ranging from the possibilities and challenges created by the new set of rules to worries and questions still waiting to be resolved.
