Vitacam selected for a UK accelerator

In early November, Vitacam vital signs monitor was announced as one of ten innovations selected for Yorkshire & Humber AHSN’s digital accelerator programme, Propel@YH. The launch event held at Nexus, University of Leeds, on the 4th of November brought together the cohort of innovative digital health solutions looking to establish themselves in the Yorkshire & Humber region of England.

Propel@YH provides the winning organisations with a six-month course of structured support and advice, aimed at enabling accelerated company growth and increased market presence. The goal of the accelerator is for the SMEs to bring their game-changing innovations to market in Yorkshire and the Humber region while helping the NHS with recovery and transformation in the wake of COVID-19.

We’re absolutely thrilled to be selected to the Propel@YH accelerator and work closely with Yorkshire & Humber AHSN and its partners. This region of England is very innovative in health and social care.’ said Moyeen Ahmad, CEO at NE Device SW.

Vitacam by NE Device SW is a digital vital signs measuring device used for measuring and reporting vital parameters of a patient. The device measures a patient’s respiratory rate and pulse using computer vision and a digital camera, such as a smartphone camera. The smartphone application also supports the recording of other vital signs from other measuring devices.
