In February 2022, the Runar Bäckström foundation’s board of directors awarded grants to 17 applicants. One of them was Oulu-based Smart PD Solutions, which received 15 000 €.
The aim of the Runar Bäckström Foundation is to encourage and support inventions that are beneficial to Finnish businesses and strengthen their global competitiveness. One of the selected companies, Smart PD Solutions, has developed an innovation for managing dialysis treatment.
The Runar Bäckström Foundation offers grants once a year to individuals, workgroups, companies or associations. This year the total amount of the grant was 255 000 euros. The new application period will start during autumn 2022.
