The Oulu Chamber of Commerce has granted its annual Business Award. This year, the winner is Oulu-based Oura. The company has developed a smart activity- and sleep-tracking ring that is said to be the only wellness ring in its category. It tracks key signals from your body while you sleep, delivering critical insights helping you harness your body’s potential every day. Unlike many other wearables, the device is not worn on a person’s wrist but on their finger.
“The award is a recognition of meritorious business growth. Oura has succeeded in building a unique brand and its innovative products have succeeded in the international market in their respective sectors. Oura is also an example of northern Finnish attraction and exceptional marketing expertise, ”says Tiina Koskela, Chairman of the Communications Committee of the Oulu Chamber of Commerce.
According to Kari Kivelä, Co-Founder and Head of Design at Oura Health, the company continues its stable growth and strengthens its position in international markets. The sales of the Oura smart ring established a new record in April.
This year, the winner of the Business Award 2020 was announced during the Kevätforum event that was exceptionally held as a webinar.
