OuluHealth Labs – a webinar for Japanese companies and partners

The Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan and the City of Oulu have been closely collaborating in the life science sector since the day a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between these two parties in 2014. To explore further possibilities for cooperation and to introduce more information about the OuluHealth ecosystem and its OuluHealth Labs, BusinessOulu and the Kanagawa prefecture in Japan have organized a webinar on 8 October 2020. Specific information about the OuluHealth Labs’ offering will be presented by Minna Komu, the OuluHealth ecosystem’s Network Director.

The OuluHealth Labs are perceived by Japanese companies as a unique test and development environment and a gateway for European market entry in the healthcare sector. The Labs are certainly worth taking into consideration while preparing market expansion. This webinar has been planned especially for Japanese companies and organizations, which are active in medical and healthcare industries, especially those having interests in a European market entry. All the webinar participants will receive useful information on the opportunities for testing health solutions as well as obtaining direct feedback from healthcare professionals, students and end-users. During the webinar, the companies that have cooperated with the OuluHealth Labs will also share their first-hand experiences.

The Kanagawa Prefectural Government has put a lot of attention to the initiatives related to health and well-being. One of these examples is the Healthcare New Frontier (HCNF) Policy that makes sure that everybody can live a long and healthy life despite the ongoing severe social changes.

This webinar is one of the joint activities undertaken by the City of Oulu and the Kanagawa Prefecture to strengthen cross-border cooperation and most certainly there are more to come.
