Optomed selected to develop Pihlajalinna’s imaging archive and distribution system

Optomed and Pihlajalinna have entered into a co-operation agreement, according to which Pihlajalinna will acquire a system for storing, processing, and distributing image data, signal data and documents as a service.

With the help of the system, Pihlajalinna can archive the customer’s imaging data in the national image archive, the Kanta services. In the future, Pihlajalinna will centralize the processing of all information generated during the patient imaging process in this new system, which will streamline the process and enables the information to be shared nationally with other healthcare professionals treating the patient.

“Expanding our collaboration from imaging workflow management to image data processing and sharing clarifies the co-operation and enables Optomed to develop Pihlajalinna’s digitalization services according to their needs. This comprehensive development work speeds up the work of professionals and further enhances patient care”, comments Markku Myllylä, Vice President of Optomed’s Software segment.

“At Pihlajalinna, we want to develop high-quality and smooth imaging services for both customers and professionals. With the wider collaboration we now have, we can take our digital imaging services forward. In the future, joining the national image archive is successful, and we are genuinely satisfied with this”, says Katja Moberg, Pihlajalinna’s imaging service manager.
