Medical students’ hands-on feedback on digital solutions at the eHealth Seminar in Oulu

The eHealth Seminar in Oulu is organized annually to strengthen the cooperation between medical students and health companies as well as to highlight the increasing role of eHealth. OuluHealth is calling health and wellness companies as well as research teams with functional pilots to present their digital and eHealth solutions to medical students from the University of Oulu and social and health care students from the University of Applied Sciences (OAMK). In this way, future healthcare professionals and health companies come together to discuss best innovations that can improve social and healthcare services delivered in the future.

The eHealth seminar will take place on 2 April 2020 and it will offer medical students an opportunity for hands-on learning about digital health innovations. At the same time it will provide companies and research teams with constructive feedback.

The main goal of the seminar is to support medical professionals in incorporating business solutions into their practical work and to develop new approaches to the acquisition of these solutions. Medical students are well aware of both the challenges in the healthcare sector and patients’ needs, so companies see them as a reliable source of feedback on product or service usability. New technologies contribute to shaping future social and healthcare in a very significant way. Therefore, events like the eHealth Seminar can provide a good platform for building a better understanding of the digital health revolution.
