Business opportunities for Finnish med tech companies in Thailand – webinar

If you are a health company with a business expansion on the horizon, why not find out more about Thailand and the opportunities it might offer to your company.

Why join?

The webinar will offer a snapshot of one of the fastest ageing countries in Asia. It has a population of 70 million and caters to over 3 million medical tourists annually (before pandemic time) seeking specialized medical treatment at its 5 start private hospitals.

This breakfast talk will give you a quick overview of the Thai health tech market and Thailand’s very strong private medical sector players as well as their plans. You will also find some examples and opportunities related to the development of senior care services.

Who is the speaker?

Kai Tuorila will introduce you to the Thai market and its opportunities. Kai is newly appointed as a Counsellor for Trade & Investment at Finnish Embassy in Bangkok. BUT he is not new to Bangkok. He has been assisting Finnish companies with their market entry and business challenges in Thailand and around South-East Asia for close to 30 years already. He first came to Bangkok in 1988 as an engineering student, and after that continued his work as a private consultant. In 2010 he ended up working as Finpro’s Country Representative in Bangkok and thereafter as Business Finland’s Trade Representative in Yangon until the beginning of 2020. His technical background comes from biomedical engineering.
