Business Finland will organize a trade mission to Munich and Erlangen, in Germany, on November 7-9, 2023. The visit will provide Finnish Healthtech and Digital Health companies with an opportunity to meet and discuss with potential customers and business partners as well as to explore related business opportunities and gain valuable information in order to accelerate the market entry to Germany.

The state of Bavaria is the largest in the area within the Federal Republic of Germany. Over 13 million people live in an area of around 70,550 km2, and GDP per capita is the second highest of all German states.
Bavaria is the location for well-known institutions, such as three Max Planck Institutes, six university hospitals, and all six of Germany’s national health centres. Additionally, Munich is home to BioM, Germany’s leader in personalized medicine and immunotherapy; Nuremberg-Erlangen hosts the Medical Valley, Germany’s top medical device and digital health hub; and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in Healthcare (EIT Health) is in Munich.
The goal of Business Finland Healthcare Trade Mission is to get to know the stakeholders of the Bavarian health sector and to discuss and get feedback for the Finnish companies. The trade mission is led by Ms. Päivi Sillanaukee, Special Envoy for Health and Wellbeing, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
The program includes a visit to Digital Health Summit, site visits, and meetings with local HealthTech companies such as Healthineers and Roche, and hospitals.
The visit is tailored for Finnish HealthTech and Digital Health companies providing solutions mainly, but not limited to, in the following fields:
· Predictive and prevention analysis
· Health data analysis and integration
· Decision support
· Clinical workflow
· In general, AI/ML and data-driven digital healthcare solutions.
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.
· Major companies: 1240 EUR + 24% VAT per person
· Minor businesses and SMEs: 1060 EUR + 24% VAT per person
