The Silver Economy Awards call for applications is open

The overall objective of the Silver Economy Awards is to highlight the potential that a growing older population can generate for entrepreneurs, investors, public authorities and civil society through the development of innovative solutions responding to these opportunities. Therefore the awards will promote creative ideas and reward products as well as services which use information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve the quality of life of Europeans aged over 50 in three categories:

• public authority
• non-for-profit organization
• for-profit organization

The solutions can refer to the following spectrum of areas that make up the European Silver Economy:

  • housing
  • outdoor spaces and buildings
  • mobility
  • tourism and leisure
  • civic and social participation
  • communication and information
  • health and long-term care
  • well-being
  • prevention and self-care
  • consumer goods and services
  • employment
  • education
  • training

Apply before 15 November to submit your game-changing solution that will support active and healthy ageing. The finalists will be invited to present their ideas at the Awards Ceremony in spring 2018.
