Research and inno­va­tion

Aca­d­e­m­ic insti­tu­tions, such as the Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu and Oulu Uni­ver­si­ty of Applied Sci­ences lie at the core of Oulu’s mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary research. These insti­tu­tions serve as plat­forms for bring­ing togeth­er schol­ars, researchers, and prac­ti­tion­ers from a mul­ti­tude of dis­ci­plines to col­lab­o­rate on projects and oth­er ini­tia­tives of mutu­al inter­est. The research themes range from the advance­ments in telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions and wire­less tech­nol­o­gy to spear­head­ing research in Arc­tic sus­tain­abil­i­ty and health­care inno­va­tion.
