Trade Mis­sion to Min­neso­ta focus­ing on healthtech

Team Fin­land is organ­is­ing a trade mis­sion to Min­neso­ta in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Min­neso­ta Trade Office, the Hon­orary Con­sul of Min­neso­ta, and oth­er local part­ners. The mis­sion is a unique oppor­tu­ni­ty for Finnish dig­i­tal health and med­ical device com­pa­nies inter­est­ed in explor­ing the mar­ket poten­tial, net­work­ing with key stake­hold­ers, and learn­ing from the best prac­tices of the Min­neso­ta health ecosys­tem.

Time: 27–29 April 2025 (an option to extend to 30 April)

The pro­gram will be tai­lored to the needs and inter­ests of the par­tic­i­pat­ing com­pa­nies, and can include vis­its to:

• Mayo Clin­ic, the world-renowned hos­pi­tal and research cen­ter
• Des­ti­na­tion Med­ical Cen­ter, the largest pub­lic-pri­vate eco­nom­ic ini­tia­tive in Min­neso­ta his­to­ry, focused on health inno­va­tion and well­ness
• Med­ical Alley, the #1 health tech­nol­o­gy clus­ter in the world, home to more than 1,000 health­care com­pa­nies and orga­ni­za­tions
• Oth­er major play­ers active in new inno­v­a­tive health­care deliv­ery, such as Unit­ed­Health, Medtron­ic, Boston Sci­en­tif­ic, and 3M

Min­neso­ta is the sec­ond largest cen­ter of Finnish ori­gin in the U.S., and many Finnish com­pa­nies already oper­ate in Min­neso­ta. By join­ing this trade mis­sion, you will ben­e­fit from the strong ties between Fin­land and Min­neso­ta, and gain access to valu­able con­tacts and insights that can help you suc­ceed in the U.S. mar­ket.

Who should join the vis­it?

Finnish com­pa­nies and R&D orga­ni­za­tions inter­est­ed in under­stand­ing the US health­care sec­tor, its main actors, trends and how to enter the mar­ket and form part­ner­ships suc­cess­ful­ly.

The vis­it pro­gram will be built to reflect the par­tic­i­pant com­pa­nies’ pro­files focus­ing on dig­i­tal health and med­ical devices, oth­er sub-focus such as gene- and cell ther­a­py can be con­sid­ered based on the par­tic­i­pat­ing com­pa­nies.

Par­tic­i­pa­tion fee

The par­tic­i­pa­tion fee is

• Major com­pa­nies: 2150 EUR + VAT per per­son.
• Minor and SME’s: 1830 EUR + VAT per per­son.

The par­tic­i­pa­tion fee cov­ers the pro­gram costs, local trans­porta­tion, and some meals. Trav­el and accom­mo­da­tion costs are not includ­ed. The num­ber of par­tic­i­pants is lim­it­ed.
