Wom­en’s health encom­pass­es the phys­i­cal, men­tal, and social well-being of women, address­ing unique health issues such as repro­duc­tive health, men­stru­al cycles, preg­nan­cy, child­birth, menopause, and con­di­tions like osteo­poro­sis, breast and cer­vi­cal can­cers. It also involves pre­ven­tive care, access to health­care ser­vices, and address­ing health dis­par­i­ties influ­enced by socio-eco­nom­ic, cul­tur­al, and bio­log­i­cal fac­tors. Pro­mot­ing wom­en’s health includes edu­ca­tion, ear­ly detec­tion, and treat­ment of dis­eases, and ensur­ing com­pre­hen­sive care through­out a wom­an’s life stages. This Health Talks intro­duces Women’s Health Hub ini­tia­tive in Turku which aims to high­light the unmet needs in women’s health, fos­ter col­lab­o­ra­tion among cur­rent stake­hold­ers in the field and encour­age new par­tic­i­pants to join the con­ver­sa­tion.
