Finland–Germany joint inno­va­tion projects/funding – get start­ed at MED­ICA bro­ker­age event

Busi­ness Fin­land and the Ger­man Fed­er­al Min­istry for Eco­nom­ic Affairs and Cli­mate Action, through its Cen­tral Inno­va­tion Pro­gramme for SMEs (ZIM), will pro­vide access to pub­lic fund­ing for joint projects. 

Ger­many and Fin­land will announce a new Call for Pro­pos­als for joint R&D projects in 2025, focus­ing on devel­op­ing inno­v­a­tive prod­ucts and appli­ca­tions in all tech­no­log­i­cal and appli­ca­tion areas but on the Finnish side with a pri­or­i­ty on Health and Dig­i­tal­iza­tion and Man­u­fac­tur­ing indus­tries.

NEW: The fund­ing is 50 % Grant from the Finnish side and a grant accord­ing to the ZIM reg­u­la­tions on the Ger­man side.

Appli­cants are expect­ed to devel­op prod­ucts, tech­nol­o­gy-based ser­vices or meth­ods which will in sub­se­quent steps gen­er­ate sus­tain­able solu­tions with mar­ket poten­tial. Busi­ness Fin­land and AiF Pro­jekt GmbH will assist com­pa­nies to find project part­ners by orga­niz­ing dif­fer­ent kind of net­work­ing events. The con­sor­tium must include at least two inde­pen­dent enter­pris­es (SMEs), one from Fin­land and one from Ger­many, which con­tribute con­sid­er­ably to the project.

The first pos­si­bil­i­ty to find a Ger­man part­ner is the EEN match mak­ing event at Med­ica.
