Icelandic and Finnish healthtech companies — start-ups and established enterprises alike — are invited to participate in the 2025 edition of the Canadian Healthcare Market Access Program (CMAP) run in partnership with Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS), Business Iceland, and Business Finland North America.

The main goal of the program is to provide companies with tools and insight to strengthen their commercialization and R&D/validation strategy into the Canadian market.

This webinar session (module 2) will focus on Newfoundland and Labrador’s tech ecosystem and opportunities provided by the provincial government and entities such as TechNL, the Bounce Innovation Hub, and NLHS to facilitate the growth of healthtech companies in Newfoundland and Labrador and elsewhere in Canada. Also to be discussed is the role of federal agencies such as CAN Health in scaling up new technologies across Canada after first entering the market in a given province. Also covered will be typical timelines and milestones companies co-developing and piloting their technologies in Newfoundland and Labrador can expect as they begin their journeys in Canada. Finally, testimonials will also be shared by several Icelandic companies that have completed the CMAP program in recent years.

Once you have completed this registration form, you will be sent a calendar invitation by email from Per Unheim at the Embassy of Iceland in Ottawa. Following the completion of modules 1 and 2, participants will be invited to register for the full program at a cost of CAD $750 per company.
