Business Finland’s trade mission to Shenzhen-Hong Kong (Greater Bay area) & Hainan, China
Business Finland is organizing a trade mission to Hainan, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong focusing on medical technologies, digital health, and biotech and diagnostics sectors.
During the visit, Business Finland will organize in cooperation with local key trade partners matchmaking seminars and visits with local fast track hospitals, health authorities, potential business partners, and investors.
Time: 6–8 November 2024
Place: Hainan, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong

Why Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Hainan
The healthcare industry within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Hainan is experiencing rapid growth and brimming with enormous potential. This dynamic region proactively promotes access to innovative global medical technologies and pharmaceuticals in the Chinese market by implementing early market access programs, facilitating quicker and more straightforward entry pathways.
Exciting prospects lie within the region’s digital health sector, with public and private hospitals aggressively advancing towards digital transformation. Health authorities in Guangdong and Hong Kong are spearheading initiatives to accumulate health data and are collaborating to expedite the digital health revolution across the region.
Practicalities
Business Finland China will charge a participation fee to cover the costs of arranging the visit to China.
- Micro businesses and SMEs: EUR 160 per person
- Major companies: EUR 190 per person
If the invoice is paid in Finland, 25.5% VAT will be added. If the invoice is paid in China, 9.42 % will be added to the official receipt “fa piao”.
Based on the actual costs, business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights, trains or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program.
